Sculptural Works

My sculptural work reflects my deep and abiding love for forging: The ability to change the shape of the metal through heat and hammering.
I have a relationship with the process that has a primeval quality, working with fire and pressure to shape my work, the very forces that shaped our planet.
Iron is my canvas, and I draw much of my inspiration from our shared humanity, whether that be in mythology, moral questioning or expression of emotion. We all have a long history with iron, much of it expressed in conquest and violence, and I take great pleasure in creating sculptural work that expresses the very opposite aspects of human nature.
